“The State of Grace” in storySouth

Earlier this year I had a story published in storySouth called “The State of Grace”. It’s named after the René Magritte painting of the same name (L’état de grâce).

For a long time, I wasn’t sure what this would be. Do I let it be and let is stand alone? Do I write a sequel as I did for “Kidney Bean” and “Reaching for a Signal”? What actually happened, was this became the opening for a novel I’m tentatively calling The Lunatic.

And I’ll probably finish it any day now.

Hope you enjoy. Thanks for reading.
